Expansion belts are used for physical separation of lightweight skeletal structure from the general structure of the building. They are also used as a dilatation material for plasterboard layer from the suspended ceiling skeleton in rooms with high noise levels. They can also be used as dilatation (horizontal / vertical) of walls erected with the use of traditional materials: brick, block, block. Such belts are also used as an intermediate layer between wooden joists and floor in wooden buildings.
