Product description

YTONG cellular concrete blocks allow free shaping of the spatial layout of apartments. Thanks to them, you can implement difficult projects, such as round walls, arches or fireplace and bathroom enclosures. These blocks give the opportunity to shape the space in both aesthetic and practical terms. It is only up to the investor whether the recess built with the YTONG block will be filled with shelves forming a bookcase, or adding other elements (e.g. doors, countertops) will compose the kitchen.

Double-layer wall

Currently, the most popular external wall solution is a double-layer wall insulated with a seamless insulation system. It consists of a construction layer and a thermal insulation layer. For the construction of double-layer walls, a YTONG cellular concrete block can be used.
Double-layer walls are usually insulated with one of the methods of a seamless thermal insulation system. With such a system, pay attention to the parameters of water vapor penetration through the wall. The best wall insulation is an insulating layer of material with low diffusion resistance (e.g. mineral wool), which will not restrict the free flow of water vapor through the wall. In order to obtain the desired heat transfer coefficient for the entire wall, the appropriate thickness of thermal insulation should be selected. The main disadvantage of construction in double-layer wall technology is the long construction time. Such a wall with all layers of thermal insulation (reinforcing layers, insulating layers, plasters) is made in a medium-sized single-family house for about 2 months.

Internal load-bearing walls

In addition to the structural function, internal load-bearing walls often act as partitions separating individual rooms. They also separate adjacent flats (inter-apartment walls) or buildings. Therefore, for such walls, sound insulation and fire resistance properties are extremely important. Internal load-bearing walls can be built of YTONG cellular concrete blocks or SILKA lime-sand blocks.

In this context, YTONG cellular concrete blocks are an excellent material for partition walls, which greatly simplify and accelerate masonry work. Thanks to their porous structure, they are over 60% lighter than other wall materials. Their lightness is important both because of the ceiling's weight load and the masons' effort when moving the block. The method of joining bricks, hollow brick or block is of great importance - it can facilitate or hinder masonry.
